About the Business
Adata was founded in 2002, originating from an IT background with over 20 years' experience, the company migrated into the evolving digital security market, where technologies were converging with the release of Digital Video recorders, replacing traditional analogue tape based solutions. As an early adopter of digital based security solutions, Adata was quickly recognised as a leading innovator, manufacturer and supplier of professional surveillance solutions.
As an industry pioneer there was a dynamic and passion to introduce ground breaking products and solutions that would enhance the way CCTV was used and the results it delivered. Early achievements included becoming the 1st manufacturer to provide a DVR, complete with integrated CD writer, allowing evidence to be removed digitally and direct from a DVR. Adata was also the first company to introduce an H.264 real time recorder into the UK market, all of which have now become industry standard.
